Same shot. Every morning.
Sour on Tuesday, bitter on Thursday, and one that sprayed sideways across the counter. All three start in the same place: an uneven coffee bed, before the water ever touches it. That part is not your machine and it is not your skill — it is the ninety seconds between grinding and pressing the button, and it is the cheapest thing in espresso to fix.
This kit is the four steps that fix it, plus the mat and glass that make them practical. Sized for your machine, not for a list of millimetres.
The 60-second routine
- Ring on. The magnetic dosing ring sits on the portafilter so the grounds land in the basket instead of around it.
- Stir. The WDT tool's fine needles break up the clumps your grinder makes, so the bed has no soft spots for water to run through.
- Tamp. The palm tamper rests on the basket rim and presses flat — no wrist angle, no body weight, no guessing.
- Screen on. The puck screen spreads water across the whole surface and keeps the group head clean.
Then brew into the measuring glass and read what you got.

What this fixes, and what it doesn't
It fixes the part of espresso you can control in a minute: clumped grounds, an uneven bed, a tilted tamp and the mess that comes with them. Expect dry pucks that lift out in one piece, a clean basket rim, and shots that behave the same way two days running.
It will not fix stale beans, and it will not turn a pressurised (dual-wall) basket into a single-wall one. If your grinder cannot hold a setting, that is still your ceiling. And if you do not own a scale yet, buy one of those before you buy this — ours is €39.95, and any accurate 0.1 g scale will do. We would rather say so than sell you a box that disappoints you.

60seconds
The routine
The 60-second routine
Most sour or bitter shots come from uneven puck prep, not from your machine or your beans. Four quick steps fix it.
- 1Dose
Grind straight into the portafilter. The magnetic dosing ring keeps it off the counter.
- 2Stir
Break up every clump with the WDT tool for an even bed of coffee.
- 3Tamp
The palm tamper rests on the rim and presses perfectly level, every time.
- 4Screen & brew
Drop in the puck screen for even water flow, then pull your shot.

All FAQsWhich size do I need?
Most De'Longhi machines use 51mm, Sage / Breville use 54mm, and Gaggia Classic, Rancilio Silvia and E61 machines use 58mm. Our fit guide lists every common machine.
What's the difference between the kits?
The Starter Kit has a click-stop spring tamper and cleaning brushes. The Espresso Prep Kit is our full workflow with a weighted palm tamper, tamping mat and shot glass. The Latte Art Set is for milk drinks and fits every machine.
How much is shipping?
Tracked shipping is free on orders over €50. Smaller orders pay a flat €4.95. Delivery takes 5–8 business days to the UK, 6–10 to Canada and 8–15 to Australia, always tracked.
Do I really need all these tools?
No, but together they fix the most common problems: clumps, uneven tamping and channelling. That's why they're sold as a kit. You can also buy each tool on its own.
Can I return or exchange?
Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to return unused items or swap to another size. See returns & exchanges.
