The one thing to buy before the kit.

We say this on every kit page, so we may as well sell you the thing: if you are not weighing your dose and your shot, none of the rest is measurable. You change the grind, the shot changes, and you have no idea whether it was the grind or the fact that you put in 17.8 g this time instead of 16.4 g. A scale turns espresso from a guess into a number you can repeat.

Why this one

  • 0.1 g resolution, up to 2 kg — fine enough for a dose, big enough for a pour-over jug.
  • Built-in timer that you start and pause on the scale itself, so you can read grams and seconds without a phone on the drip tray.
  • 22 mm thin, 140 × 124 mm — low enough to sit under the portafilter on most home machines, where a chunky kitchen scale will not fit.
  • Three modes: espresso (weight plus timer), hand-drip, and plain kitchen weighing.
  • USB-C rechargeable. No hunting for coin cells.
  • Sound on or off with a switch on the side, because a beeping scale at six in the morning is its own kind of problem.

What it is, plainly

A plastic-bodied scale, not a machined Acaia. It weighs accurately to a tenth of a gram and times your shot, which is the whole job. If you want a waterproof brew scale with auto-tare and flow-rate graphs, buy one of those instead — it will cost you four times this. We would rather you own an honest €39.95 scale than no scale at all.

It is not waterproof. Wipe it, don't rinse it, and keep it out of the group-head drip line.

Fits every machine

There is no size to choose here — unlike our tampers and dosing rings, a scale is a scale. Pick black or white.

Hands stirring coffee grounds with a WDT tool during espresso puck prep60seconds

The routine

The 60-second routine

Most sour or bitter shots come from uneven puck prep, not from your machine or your beans. Four quick steps fix it.

  1. 1
    Dose

Grind straight into the portafilter. The magnetic dosing ring keeps it off the counter.

  2. 2
    Stir

Break up every clump with the WDT tool for an even bed of coffee.

  3. 3
    Tamp

The palm tamper rests on the rim and presses perfectly level, every time.

  4. 4
    Screen & brew

Drop in the puck screen for even water flow, then pull your shot.

All FAQs
Which size do I need?

Most De'Longhi machines use 51mm, Sage / Breville use 54mm, and Gaggia Classic, Rancilio Silvia and E61 machines use 58mm. Our fit guide lists every common machine.

What's the difference between the kits?

The Starter Kit has a click-stop spring tamper and cleaning brushes. The Espresso Prep Kit is our full workflow with a weighted palm tamper, tamping mat and shot glass. The Latte Art Set is for milk drinks and fits every machine.

How much is shipping?

Tracked shipping is free on orders over €50. Smaller orders pay a flat €4.95. Delivery takes 5–8 business days to the UK, 6–10 to Canada and 8–15 to Australia, always tracked.

Do I really need all these tools?

No, but together they fix the most common problems: clumps, uneven tamping and channelling. That's why they're sold as a kit. You can also buy each tool on its own.

Can I return or exchange?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to return unused items or swap to another size. See returns & exchanges.
