If you own a Sage or Breville Bambino or Bambino Plus, your portafilter takes 54 mm tools. You do not need to measure anything.
The basket measures a shade under the portafilter, and a tamper has to clear the wall — so different shops print different numbers for the identical tool. Pick 54mm and it fits.

Four steps, every morning
-
1Ring on. The magnetic dosing ring seats on the basket so nothing spills over the edge.
-
2Stir. WDT needles break up every clump your grinder left behind.
-
3Tamp level. The calibrated spring tamper stops at the same pressure every time.
-
4Screen on. The puck screen spreads the water evenly and keeps the shower head clean.
Two honest warnings
Check your basket first. If you are using a pressurised (dual-wall) basket rather than a plain single-wall one, switch before buying anything here. Hold it up: if there is a single small hole in a second floor underneath, it is pressurised — and it will mask everything these tools do.
Buy a scale before any of this. The Bambino has no scale in it and its shot buttons measure time, not weight. Ours reads to 0.1 g, which is the level worth having. On a Bambino the grinder is usually the real ceiling.

Still unsure about your size?
Send us your machine model and we'll confirm it within 1 business day. Ordered the wrong one? We'll swap it within 30 days.
The Bambino Plus froths automatically, which handles the milk but not the pour — the Latte Art Set fits every machine, as do WDT tools, pitchers, shot glasses, brushes, the dosing spoon and the scale.
