If you own a Breville Dual Boiler or the same machine badged Sage Dual Boiler (BES920 / SES920), your portafilter takes 58 mm tools — not the 54mm the rest of the Sage and Breville range uses.
The Barista Express, Barista Pro, Barista Touch and Bambino are all 54mm. The Dual Boiler is not: it uses a full commercial 58mm group, the same standard as machines several times its price. Tamper listings saying 58.3, 58.4 or 58.5mm all mean the same thing.

Four steps, every morning
-
1Ring on. The magnetic dosing ring seats on the basket so nothing spills over the edge.
-
2Stir. WDT needles break up every clump your grinder left behind.
-
3Tamp level. The calibrated spring tamper stops at the same pressure every time.
-
4Screen on. The puck screen spreads the water evenly and keeps the shower head clean.
Pre-infusion and the Oracle
Pre-infusion makes an uneven puck worse. A gentle low-pressure soak finds the loosest spot and opens it up before full pressure arrives. By the time the pump ramps, the channel is already there. The tamping station also earns its place here — the portafilter is heavy and counter space is tight.
If you have an Oracle or Oracle Touch, everything here fits, but they grind and tamp automatically inside the portafilter. The puck screen and brush set still apply straightforwardly; the distribution tools only make sense if you already dose into the basket by hand.

These tools do not compensate for stale beans and will not correct a grinder that drifts — on a machine this capable the grinder is usually the ceiling. WDT tools, milk pitchers, shot glasses, brushes, the dosing spoon, the scale and the Latte Art Set fit every machine.
Machine brand names are used only to show compatibility. CremaKit is not affiliated with these brands.
